Are you ready?

So the most highly anticipated game is on tonight (well, highly anticipated for me). New England and New Orleans. Battle of the News (okay, super corny but thought I'd put it out there). Should be a good game. Hope the Saints secondary are healthy enough to play. Although they signed Mike McKenzie again which I'm hopeful for. I like Mike and missed him this season. Too bad he's coming back because they have no one else.

Can I ask, why is everyone talking about how New England is preparing for this game? What about the Saints? How come no one is asking about how they prepare for Brady and Belichick? Just wondering. I think Peter King may have jinxed them by picking them over the Pats by 4. We'll have to see.

So I'm full of turkey and disappointment at the routing the Lions were handed by the Packers. Oy! Poor Matty, I give him credit for playing but it didn't seem to be going his way at all on Thursday. I guess he was miked up, but I must have missed the portions where he was groaning and writhing in pain. Nice. Nothing says giving thanks like moans from a groan man after a shellacking.

Crazy days of football for college. I think this may be the year that forces the powers that be to seriously consider a playoff setup for the championship. How can you possibly tell an undefeated Boise State or TCU that they can't play in the national championship? I realize they play in the WAC and MWC, respectively, but still. I mean the top five right now are UF, Alabama, Texas, TCU and Cincinnati. Who would have thought at the beginning of the season this is how it would look? UF or Alabama will be eliminated from the hunt after the SEC championship (I'm hoping Alabama wins, but my pick doesn't usually prevail when rooting against UF), and the possibility is there for UT to lose in the Big 12 championship, but then you have to pick from three teams who all have a legitimate argument to play the big show. What to do?
