Waterlogged

Greetings from the state currently known as Inundated By Tropical Storm Fay. :) It's been raining for like 3 days and the storm isn't even over here anymore. Gotta feel for those folks up in Daytona and the surrounding area as Fay has decided to camp out there, see the sights, sit on the beach.

Some places are getting over 30 inches of rain. 30 inches! When you start talking about rain in the amounts of feet, there's problems.

I think the powers that be decided that they were tired of meterologists making "predictions" on what this storm would do and gave them a big ol' f-you! If you don't live in Florida and haven't been paying attention, Fay already made two landfalls in Florida (though I don't think they should count Key West since it's about a fly speck on the map anyway) then whipped across the state, gaining strength (which never happens when a storm crosses over land) and decided to camp out on the Space Coast (aka Daytona/Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral area). This thing was supposed to be through the state already and on it's way to Georgia or some such place. My luck, it will do something funky, end up back in the Gulf of Mexico, and hit us again. Yeah, I'm so lucky I should play the Lotto.

I'm so ready for this hurricane season to be over.

Only 100 more days to go! at life.sa.laugh@hotmail.com
