Only four more months of hurricane season. Can't say how much I love that. Don't know about y'all out there, but a northern winter doesn't look so bad now. I'm tired of Mother Nature being pissed at us. No power, no air conditioning, and no water for weeks is truly a great vacation, right? I must admit that I am like every other person in this state and wait until the very last minute to stock up on the necessities...booze and chips. Okay, maybe not so much, but I do enjoy fighting an 80-year-old retiree for the last 20 oz. bottle of Zephyrhills water at Publix. So much fun.
Also, what is up with the weather people down here? They all do the promos for their upcoming forecasts as if it's a mystery that only they have the answer. Like I want to get up at 4 a.m. to listen to a perpetually chipper person tell me that we might have a chance for rain. I could have told them that. It's southern Florida in the middle of the summer. Let me guess, it's going to be hot, humid and rain in the afternoon. The forecast tomorrow? Hot, humid, rain in the afternoon. It's the same forecast for approximately six months. I can't believe they get paid for that. I'm in the wrong business.
